Free fig trees

Due to limited space in my shed (for winterizing my fig trees), I need to get rid of the following trees,

LSU Yellow (4 feet tall, branched)
LSU Scott's Blk (6 feet tall, branched)
San Piero (2 feet tall, bush)
Unknown/ Possibly a Celeste (3 1/2 tall, branched)

All are in 5 gallon pots except LSU S. Blk. I will ship them out in fall/dormant, bare rooted but you need to pay for shipping and handling.

I'm late seeing your post but do you have any trees left?

I am glad to hear they all have found homes. What a kind offer to make on this forum.

Navid

Navid....how did I miss this thread.  Extreme sadness.  For whomever is getting the LSU Yellow and the LSU Scott's Black, will you consider sending me some scion if/when the time comes?

I must say, Navid is one great guy! He remembered that I had made a comment about offering to take any green(unripe) figs that people are pinching off.   In today's mail I received a large package of green figlets.  Needless to say, he will soon be the recipient of my greek fig jam or baby fig spoon sweet.   And, he sent me a few cuttings from the tree that the figs came from...they are already in their respective cups. And now sharing his fig trees...and what fig trees those are!!!

Navid, my inquiring mind would like to know what was the logic behind which trees to part with?  Were these duplicates for you, not happy with these varieties, etc?  If you don't mind my asking.    Thanks!!

Sara, You are welcome. The reason behind my decision to give them away was, either I had duplicates or I was not impressed with their performance or taste. And since, I can put so many trees in my shed for winter, I had to let some go.

Navid

Sara,

Don't forget you have a Scott's Black coming to you in the fall as a plant.

sent. Thanks again!

Navid, sent also.

Cathy-- I did not realize that LSU Scott's Black and Scott's Black were the same thing.  All the names, you know?   I knew I had  LSU SB on my list and then I kept reading more on Scott's Black(no mention of LSU) so I added that one also.  So, as long as those 2 names are one and the same cultivar I am good with my plant that I am getting from you.  It boggles my mind!

(So, Navid--as long as they are the same cultivar I won't need a cutting of Scott's Black from you..thank you though).

Sara

All will be shipped bare root at no charge. There are few more that I need to do another inventory, will post those varinats in a few weeks.

O'Rourke 3 gallon
LSU Scotts Black 1gallon
Maltese Falcon 2 gallon
O'Rourke 1 gallon

Navid.

I'll take the Maltese falcon if it's still available

Hey Navid, I would love to have the Orourke 3-gallon if that hasn't been spoken for yet. If thats not available, I will take whatever other variety you have to offer. Let me know what you need from me, and happy figging!

Wow. I would be happy with just the one gallon O'Rourke. Seems it does well in my climate from what I've read.

All trees have been spoken for. Have recieved many PMs.

Navid.

Thank you for being so generous!
