Free Tree Time

I want to give something back to the members of this site for all they have given me,

I have six of these trees that I have started from cuttings which will be going to the first 6 people that PM me and would like to have one all I ask for is $5.00 for shipping PM me and I will contact the first 6 people that do so

This is one of the first trees I acquired this tree is the heaviest bearing tree I have in my collection 2 crops a year, super sweet figs, I tried to ID it a few times never really found out what it is, I just call it "Shippan Fig" from the area I got it from

for future reference, how do you pack it so the leaves stay intact and not snap? roll it up?

Hi Tonysac,
I don't know that strain, but that's a beautiful tree ! The tree seems to have been kept outside, so I would put it in the same conditions .
IMO, time to pot up or go in ground ! If you do it now, the tree could still take advantage of that and grow faster this season and next one because of the roots being established.
The decision is yours, of course !

Already in bigger pot in the garden

I got it. It is huge and already in a 3 gallon pot. Thanks Dave. Oh and by the way. It's name is Dave.

Tony:
Nothing but the best for my friend Tony enjoy the tree!

erics11:
I really don't do anything special I do put a bamboo stick so the tree doesn't slide up and down in the box I make sure the box is big enough so you don't have to scrunch up the leaves

Hershell:
Enjoy the tree Hershell it's not a rare or exotic variety but the figs are absolutely delicious and the tree bears lots of fruit  "Dave" I like that.

Mine came in today and it looks really nice and big, it was well packaged. This variety was in zone 6b unprotected so it will hopefully be hardy for me in zone 6

Here's a picture of the mother tree "Or father" ?

It looks like that tree survived the nasty winter in great shape - is it in a coastal location that modified the low temps?

If you are ever distributing cuttings from that beauty, sign me up please :)

Mine just arrived!

My heart sunk when I opened the door and saw the box had been crushed :/

But to my amazement only the top "empty" part of the box was damaged :)

Beautifully packed and Beautiful plant :)

All potted in 5:1:1 mix. Im in the process of transferring all my plants into 5 gallon SIPs so i'll let it relax a bit and when the roots fill the 1 gallon, i'll up pot it :)

Thanks again Dave for being so generous. May all of the world's riches land upon you.
