freeze tonight in North Texas

I've seen forecasts as low as 26 for tonight.

Will my 17gal pots be okay with just wrapping the branches?

I'll be bringing all my 3 and 5 gal pots into the garage.  Also have some air layers I have to cut tonight from an inground tree..

A lot depends on the variety and how well the tips have hardened off.  I wouldn't trust anything outside that cold without knowing that.

Wow frost already in warm Texas? I am in 7b an no freeze till now...

28 here tonight, moved everything on to the patio and put up a tarp, we'll see.

35F predicted for tonight and 36F tomorrow night for Spring, TX.  I'm movin' further south!  : (

I brought all 4 of my potted fig trees indoors after I saw the weather freeze alerts on my smart phone.
To my surprise my Beall fig tree has 3 baby figs starting. I hope they mature OK.

I brought everything into the garage except the 20 gal pots and the in ground. They'll have to fend for themselves. At least there should not be any precipitation.

28 here tonight. I put a wire cage around my in ground tree and filled it with leaves and pine needles.  All the others, 1 to 5 gals, I put under the shed at the east side of garage and covered them with pine needles and leaves.  They are mostly out of the direct wind so I've got my fingers crossed.

25 or so over the night. all my trees are inside other than 10 gals. they are 4 yr old trees and going on 5th yr after the winter. i would like to see how they do. worse comes to worst, i'll just prune harder.
