It's going to freeze tonite 30F and Monday night, might hit the upper 20's. There were snow flurries about an hour north of me. Too cold for all the figs since they are leafing out and some have breba growing. I filled the garage with all the older trees and all the newly rooted cuttings. Where's Spring??

Yep.  I moved all my figs into the garage (except the cuttings that are still in the house).  Spring will be back soon enough.  Hopefully not too many more shuffles this year.

I got brave or lazy and left them out, despite frost warnings for last night. Awoke to 37F. No apparent damage (yet). I did cover my peppers and they seem to have benefited from it.

In this area the last frost date is suppose to be May 10. Hear that? May 10. But the good news is that it looks like we will be warming now for the season. A high in the eighties is predicted for next Monday, so go out and cheer those figs on.

below 40 for about two hours early tomorrow morning.. rest of the forecast looks rather nice.. until next week, after this week, it looks like rain for next 1 month straight. as long as it doesn't rain while the figs are swelling, i'm fine with it.

I was going to say "eat your heart out" but it's too HOT here! Whew....

Nothing beats the change of seasons, so revel in the snow and sleet and rain and wind knowing that spring and fall rely on it.

The coldest is the early morning hours, the good thing is there's a light wind, which can help a bit so frost doesn't settle.
