About a year ago a nice man sent me some cold hardy fig cuttings called French Alps. He left 2 rooted cuttings out in the snow in pots, he had pics, and in the spring they started growing with no damage. Any one know about this fig , thanks Rex.

rex, pix of leave and the fig would be nice. I heard some of those european alpine figs will take some low temp, like Nero 600M.
I had pics of the cuttings in the snow but not of the figs,I lost the pics and info he sent when I lost the email.Rex.
Alpes/Alps are mountains at the french border with Switzerland, Germany , Italy , Austria .You can have anything from an unknown Italian figtree to a Brownturkey and everything in between.Time and photos might help telling :) .
true, but from the "French Alps", i would imagine it's from the border between France and Italy.
