Fruit Hunters, TV Series

Thanks to David Suzuki's "The Nature of Things", the whole 90 min. movie has been broadcast on Canadian television, and has also been uploaded to Youtube:  [edit: this TV series is somewhat different than the theater version but is still quite good]

Part 1: "The Evolution of Desire"

Part 2: "Defenders of Diversity"

Thanks Harvey.  I'll have to make this my tv time for later!

Harvey,
Thank you very much for the link.    The film had been recommended to me late last year and am looking forward to viewing it!

Excellent video!
I really enjoyed that!
Thanks for sharing it!
God Bless!

Harvey,
I took the day off as it's my birthday and I'm watching this film as I munch away on a basket of organic fruit my mom and her main squeeze  sent me. Excellent; thank you.

Harvy...will definately set aside time to watch this video.  Thanks for the link.

Michael...Happy Birthday...enjoy yourself.

Thanks for posting this.  Very interesting!

Thank you  for posting.

Per Ken Love, (who was featured in the movie) this is much different than the movie version that played in theaters.
Just an FYI

I just checked out Ken's Facebook page and he says there are major differences and when asked to explain he said there were too many to go into but said that the TV version had more of some folks and less of others.

for those of you familiar with bit torrent......

you can download the videos there.

yay!

It's nice to see two of my friends in this movie. There's a section on figs from the monastery...

Thanks for posting the videos. I really enjoyed them.

Thanks Harvey .
I really enjoyed both videos .
I read about Haskap berries last year around this time .
I ended up planting 3 of them , hopefully they will fruit this spring .
They are very cold hardy . Down to -40 degrees .
They are also very productive , with 5 lb of berries after just 3 years if I remember correctly .

Hi Harvey and friends. I'm the director of THE FRUIT HUNTERS. Just a note: THIS IS NOT THE FULL 90 MINUTE VERSION OF THE FILM. This is very different than the feature version but a nice compendium. The 90 min will have an official theatrical release in mid-May 2013. It's a MUST-SEE on the big screen in Cinemascope wide-screen. MACRO fruit and everything! Very exciting. Hope we can rally the troops to see it on the big screen. We'll be sending more updates soon.

Thanks, Yung, look forward to it.  Have been following this for a while.

I can only imagine how good the movie would be. I just hope it's plays in theaters near me.

Yung,
There should be a sequel called "The Fig Hunters"

Harvey...just had a chance tonight to watch both videos...outstanding, and very educational...thanks for sharing them with us.

Excellent video. Thank you for sharing.

I was referred to the second part of this video by the place I ordered my honey berry plants from this year.  Love the video!  I think I watched the first video last year but I my watch it again just to be sure.

Thanks for shearing

Watching this video is making me salivate

Wish I had time to watch!  Tough times between two homes, but will save for later!  Got it bookmarked!

Great video. To think that I've only tried maybe less than 8 varieties of mangoes. I've got to catch up. Was someone bidding $800 on a few mangoes? Did those fruit hunters ever get a successful graft of the white mango.
