So, i stumbled on this website, Falling Fruit , this weekend and thought it was alright; a place to map the location of food sources across the nation. What a great idea; from native plants to cultivated fruits to safe for consumption dumpsters- really- it's all there. Find those fig trees near you.http://fallingfruit.org/ Also, in conjunction with this site is the San Antonio Fruit Tree Project , a stellar example of the goodness that can come from shared knowledge and a little inspiration.
