Galicia Negra Fig

Here is a fig off my 2nd year Galicia Negra. The taste is good, but should get better with age.

Impressive looking fig, inside and out! Can't wait for my young tree to give figs. Next year most likely.

Beautiful Just Beautiful.......................

I second Dave's comments! Beautiful!

For all of the hype that this cultivar receives, I was hoping for better reviews.

No argument there, F-f57.  It's just that I've simply begun to be a bit gun-shy, after waiting for five years hoping for improvement in fruit on some of my trees.   I don't expect one year-old trees to meet their potential, but after two years, I've now begun to lose faith.

I'd pay a couple of bucks a fig for the fruit produced on my one year-old Letizia, Hative de Argentile, and Bourjasotte Grise trees. And conversely, I wish that I hadn't spent the money to purchase and water a half-dozen of my five year-old trees.

Is this a breba from this year or a main crop fig?

Greenfig: Breba

GN has the largest leaves of all my varieties so far. I'm a long way from ripe figs.

looks tempting, did you eat it all?

Figworld
Yes, I ate it all. I usually give my dog half,he loves Figs. Friday, I'm going pick one that is about three days riper.
