Genovese Nero and Ronde dB.

along with 7 other trees, these are two that i'm waiting to taste this year. typically, first year figs won't give full taste profile, but i'm hoping a lot with these. i just hope they won't let me down like Kathleen's Black and White Greek. KB and WG were first yr figs last year and didn't pack any punch. WG will be moved to 10 gal this weekend to see if that will help with taste department.

GN has nice branch coming from under the soil. this one is already engaged for trade.

Ronde de Bordeaux should not disappoint you at all. Does excellent here in our climate.
Come to the dark side. ; )

Fear (of the white figs) is the path to the dark side...    :D

Hi Pete
you think they will fruit in these small pot? i am potting lots of cuttings in the same pots for testing and would like to know from your experience....

thanks

that's 3 gal container. it should give figs. not many, but few. just enough for me to test. if i like the fig, i'll up pot to 5-10 gal next year.

do you put the babies outside already?
i like to put them outside but loose 1 out 4 cuttings to this habit-they dry out on me.....
but the ones who do survive perform very well.

GN is actually 2nd yr fig. But, with new cuttings, if they have good roots and good tops, they go straight to outside as long as night temp is above 50 once moved into 1 gal.

Edit: NC in spring is rather humid outside.
