Get yourself a Green Greek

I hear ya Dan on the live and learn......

Cecil, just when we think we have things figured out.....Mother Nature steps in and shows us who is boss. We have enough trouble down here with nematodes and those pesky birds. Sure as heck we don't want any part of those fig eating brown stink bugs. At least the green stink bugs we already have leave our figs alone and are polite enough not to try to come into our house!!

HAHAHA

I hear ya again Dan

I must have some rude green stinkbugs then.  Not only do they come into the house and fly around, they get into my hair from time to time.  With all the things they could land on, why do they have to land in my hair, dog-gonnit!

Same for the brown Junebugs!  They eat my fig leaves and come into the house and get in my hair, too!  I hate it!

Snaglpus, that sounds like a great fig. Could you give us a few more details on where you got it please? Dalton Ga?

Interested in a Green Greek also, prefer a rooted cutting or young plant....anyone have one to sell???   PM or email me please.  Appreciate it!   Sound like a lovely fig to have!!!

Goldie, I got my Green Greek fig tree from Mr. Dalton Durion.  He owns Durion Nursery in Louisanna.  Here is his web site:  http://www.durionursery.biz/

His website list many figs but call him because he is already out of many.  :)
cheers,

Just heard back from Dalton this morning....he has some plants in 3g containers for $35, but to ship to my area in KY it would be $40.  Too expensive for me.  He mentioned he may have some in 1g come summer time.  Will continue my search.

You may be able to make it worth your while to order multiple plants, I think he combines or at least offers reduced shipping on each add'l plant.

That does seem excessive on the shipping.
