I live in europe and cant find any other variety than brown turkey in the stores.
Do anyone know a nursery that can ship cuttings to eu?

Between these three you can have more figs than you can ever imagine.

I'm not sure if it is legal to mention names, but try GOOGLE.de: 'feigen lussheim' (this will lead you to
an address in Germany (S....r) or try 'feigen schweiz' and go to the first or one of the first addresses
mentioned (M...... V....). There are fig trees and cuttings on eBay.de. You might also find cuttings or
fig trees on eBay.uk.com - some people there send to places within the EU.

Welcome to the forum, Where abouts in Europe are you from?

Decided to read through this information, and provided links  .....What an incredible variety of figs to chose from by those fig growers who live in Europe!  And we in the USA are stuck with the same redundant, 10-13 common varieties grown by most nurseries.  Any figs that are remotely "exotic" have to be started from cuttings....usually, diseased cuttings, too.  That's if you could find what you want.

But then again, Europe has grown figs for thousands of years....this country, only a few hundred years....e.g. "Black Mission"/"Franciscana".  The real sin is that importation is so damn difficult!

For many reasons the plant material import laws are very strict.

But if the importing country allows it then can you export plant materials like cuttings?  

With so many fig enthusiast worldwide it may be worth getting an import permit.
