Gina, I almost bought some just 2 hours ago at out local international market. They had Black mission and Brown Turkey figs there but I bought the lychees instead. Why? Because I have 1 fulll case of Strawberry fig jam, 1 full case of Fig Berry jam, 1 full case of Fig Chutney, I full case of FROG Jam, and 1 full case of Vanilla Fig Jam.
Here's a recipe I got last year at UCD.....it's close to Pete's recipe:
Grilled Figs
1. Using a knife, cut a triangle in the side and remove some pulp
2. Insert some feta cheese
3. Wrap the fig with a piece of procuttito
4. Take a sprig of rosemary and use it to hold the ham on the fig
5. Grill the figs until the ham is crispy and the cheese bubbles
6. Remove from the grill, Let them rest 10mins and eat.
