Gino's Black or Sal (Gene) ?

Ok, so ... I won't get into the background of where the cuttings came from or what might have happened along the line with mix-ups, but here's the current deal:

Got what should be a Gino's Black.  It is quarantined and heavily infected with RKN thanks to transfer into a contaminated pot which stunted its exceptional growth (I'm cussing myself right now).

I'm in process of airlayering two main branches right now.  One of the branches has a single fruit, and within 10 days of airlayering, that fruit - albeit small - has begun ripening.  It's still 3-4 days from 'dead ripe', and just started turning this past week.  Tell me to those with both varieties in the subject here:  Is this resembling Gino's Black or Sal (EL/Gene)?

Thanks.

Jason, when Gino Black is ripe and ready to pick, the figs turn a dark purple; darker than Hardy Chicago.  See pic below.  The darker fig is ripe but the one on the left is not.  If the fig stay that color and droop, then it's ready to pick and you will have yourself a Sal's.  Sal's and Gino Black ripen at the same time but the color is true test in my zone, 8A.  I think that tree is a Sal's.

Thanks, Dennis!  I have a sneaky suspicion I have a Sal EL/Gene here, but we will see.  It could be that my Sal EL and Gino's Black somehow were somehow swapped (strange, I double-label everything), or ... maybe there was an error in shipping.  Only time will tell.
