GM#149a

For who owns GM#149a, I just gave it a name as 'Gozo Rose'.

Hi George, could you give us a little history and how you characterize each of the varieties that you just named? Thanks.

And availability information if possible, please. Would be nice to acquire these to add to collection... Thank you!

This fig came from a village where both my dear mom Rose (RIP) & the fig actually grew up ...

Roses are also a well known flower (mostly the red ones, around Valentine's day).

For availability, try:

Thank you, George! I will take a look at Figaholics for sure.... Valentines is a great day to also remember loved one's like your Mom, Rose (may she rest in peace)... I just came back from my Mom's, having brought her a bouquet of Roses as well. My Mom's name in Croatian is "Ruza" which you likely recognize as also being "Rose"... It's a great day to celebrate Roses!

I got mine from Harvey.

The GM-149a is still available. The GM-172 is sold out.

172 from Harvey, 149a James.

Harvey has the 149a

Yup checked and confirmed... added the 149a and a couple others to an in progress cart to go along with cuttings of 175 previously acquired but the 172 is all she wrote...

Nice name.  Does Gozo mean fig?

I'm guessing it's named after this island.

I like that connection...
