On the Figtrees.net site run by Joe Morle there's a fig by the name of Goccia de Oro. The description sounds delicious and I'd like to add a few early producers to my (hopefully) soon to be orchard. My question is has anybody heard of that fig? Is there another name for it? Any info at all on it? Thanks if you reply.

Luke, Joe's a super nice guy. Just call him and talk to him about his figs. I have them all, big and small. Goccia is a good fig. However to me, his White Triana is the sweetest fig I've ever tasted. Call Joe, he'll be happy to talk to you.

I have spoken with Joe, a few times, I was wondering what this fig is like and if maybe it had an alias. Also Dennis, you started your reply saying you haven't heard of that fig, and then you say that you have Joe's figs and that Goccia is a good one. I'm not sure I understand.

Hi agree with Dennis White Triana is an excellent fig. In addition to being very sweet the figs are a nice size. The La Goccia D'Oro I purchased from Joe Morle has not fruited yet but I'm looking forward to it hopefully this summer

i spoke to him few years ago looking to start my fig collection. very nice gent. i do want to try his trees sometime later. drop o'gold does sound good.
