Good headstart

The garage gave me a good headstart this year. I don't think it gets as cold in there as I expect a week or two outside and I am far past many of the local trees (assuming they aren't dead from the winter). I have about a dozen figs startig as well.

Garage did well. People up north have to work so hard to keep there figs, happy. A lot of respect for yall

Beautiful tree!  I stored my potted trees in the attached garage and they too have a nice head start.  Some started waking up as early as February.

Hi figinqueens,
What size is that pot ?
Did you grow that tree from cutting and then in that pot ?
How old is the tree ?
That tree looks really nice... It is no longer an head-start but an head and neck start :) .
My trees outside are catching up though now especially my bigger "Dalmatie". Others were left behind like "Pastiliere" and my unknowns "ufti" .

I am in zone 5
I keep my potted figs in a cool dark room in the basement for winter .
They started waking up first part of March,I started shuffling in and out of house when above 50f ten.

They are  just starting to stay out over night .

I also have to move to porch if it rains to much .

I got lazy and didn't do the shuffle at all this year, just straight outside once it was no longer below 35 at night. The buds were just breaking. Container is an 18 gallon Rubbermaid (I believe). I purchased it last year in April or May so not sure not the age. It was a pretty well established tree and has continued to grow well. If you do a search I have previously posted some additional pictures including right when I purchased it.

Very nice!
