GOOD Personal exp with Ebay seller.

Please list only Ebay sellers that you have personally had a Good experience with and why thank you. I dont know if this has been done already but there is alot of talk about it.

Please include Ebay id and F4F name

I orderd some MvsB cuttings from 06picl, i am not sure of the f4f name though sorry. this seller was very helpful and answerd my many questions. I got outbid at the last second and was almost heartbroke. I asked the seller if they would be listing more and the seller oferd more right to me very quickly for what i had bid as a second chance offer. the shipping was fast and the cuttings are of a very good quality. this seller has got a 5 star in my book.

I would like to say that i myself am a good ebay seller but that wouldn't be right for me to toot my own horn like that. i do have 100% feedback and have even replaced plants a months after bought from me. I went under the name steelmusicman but have just changed my name to garden-whisperer on ebay.

Dave

I am nippondd on ebay

I haven't been selling a lot on eBay lately. But you can be sure that any variety you get from will be what I say it is (barring any honest mistakes).  Hopefully I'm seen as one of the good guys :) . I'm fruitnut on eBay.

For t
hose that do not know My Story I will give you all some background real quick.
My son Chris is the reason
I am doing the fig thing. Chris has been diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis. And has several Brain tumors and is currently losing the use of his left arm and left leg. Chris struggles with his learning disabilities and attends a state run school for the disabled. Chris fell in love with fresh ripe figs and we went to a fig seminar in hopes of buying a tree for ourselves. well we got our first tree and aload of information from Bills figs in Flemington NJ. The two hour ride home was loaded with questions from both him and I so after a google search I found this site and registered. Chris and I have been growing trees and selling cuttings for three years now.  Chris and I love to go on fig hunts and talking with tree owners getting the stories of the trees heritage. How many 15 year olds are digging in the dirt and rooting cuttings nowadays. This started out as a hobby and is becoming a starting point for Chris to become more self sufficent. Chris is always thinking of others and does not see himself as disabled he buys ice pops and takes them to Childrens Hospital Of Philadelphia everytime he has a test and goes through trash cans to save soda can tabs for the hospital.

I like what you have written, Al. You have raised your child well. Well done to you and Chris. 2 thumbs up.

Al is one of the good guys! I have purchased lots from him in the past. Thanks for your story Al. Be blessed and keeping doing what you do.
cheers,

Al, wonderful that you and your son are in this together.  I'm Ciaow on Ebay.

Hi Al:  we've got a lot in common.  Good luck with all you're doing with Chris at CHOP, and (for that matter) in life!  My boy is 16 and his health issues and disabilities are different from your son's.  Maybe we'll meet up at CHOP one day.  (These days we head to CHB (Boston) more often though).

Mike

My son went to CH Oakland for many trips a couple of years ago and he's fine now except he still doesn't like figs.

I'm harveyc on eBay so it should be easy to match me up with here.  I've been a eBay member since 1999 and had one negative feedback about 5 years ago in retaliation by a bad seller I had first given negative feedback to.  I haven't sold much on eBay but am a licensed nursery but that's just a small part of my farm operation here in NorCal.  Most plants I've sold have been through contacts I've made through the California Rare Fruit Growers and a few through the banana forum.  I've done a LOT of transactions through PayPal (mid five figures annually) because of online chestnut sales.  I had a PayPal once about five years ago because a customer's email to me ended up in my spam folder or something and we got that resolved and he was needlessly apologetic.

Tarsan calling (Jane?):

I was just comparing two ebay seller's list that have been started by tonysac and I think it's great that the "GOOD" list outweighs the "BAD" by about 2-1 if not more.

Hey Al and all the other fathers out there
I am rather new to the forum and while I have been reading lots this is my first post. I wanted to say thank you for sharing your stories about your sons. I would just like to say that I am sure the time you spend with your sons means to the world to them. When I was growing up my father spent a great deal of time pursuing my interests and spending time together and now when I look back these are some of the greatest and most meaningful memories I have. I think it is great what you are doing with your son.

Bill (saxonfig/fruitnut), yes you ARE one of the good guys! I have bought cuttings from Bill several times and his communication is friendy, quick, and cuttings are top rate! I have bought cuttings or plants from most of the people on Peters list and have always been pleased with the plant material and the great communication. ( Peter, thanks for including me on your list!)

Hmmmmm I think im being made fun of because of my CAPS I just want the post to stand out so people can see it.... Im not calling out any names George and Susan   :o :)

I wasn't making fun, Tony. I really hadn't even thought about it. I'm sorry that you thought that.

Its fine im thick skinned anyway I actually think its kinda funny myself the whole tarzan thing im actually laughing right now. Dont be sorry

Harvey, there is hope for your kid. I thought figs were the most disgusting thing you could eat (well, except for SOS) when I was a kid.

Maybe this has been said before, but I think it would be helpful if during the website tweak there would be a special section/tab/area to go see where forum members have trees or cuttings available on E-bay.  I'm not a frequent E-bayer so a separate section on this forum woud help.

just a bumb up

I have had positive experiences with KK, BLB, and NortheastNewbie as sellers.  And positive experiences with some other members as buyers.

KK lives very close to me, he found me growing figs on driveway when he was fig hunting in my neighborhood.
He later gave me several good varieties. A very nice guy.
