Color me excited!!

We went to the NW Flower and Garden show here in Seattle. I go every year and manage to buy a thing or three every time we go. This year it was a big purchase - a greenhouse! WOOHOO!!

20% off and free shipping! Local company. Got the house, the shelving, a heater, and a greenhouse temp regulator.

It's a good thing my husband loves me. He did like the 20% off. I was waiting for this show to make a purchase cause I know there are deals to be had.

The picture is bigger than the one I got. I wish I could get a bigger one we don't have the space. The one pictured is 8 x 8 feet, I purchased a 6 x 4. So cut the pictured one in half and bring in the width a smidge and that's what I'll have.

Wow!! That is nice. I've been checking out greenhouses, too, but first I'd have to get red of the big red barn. Congratulations on the green house. It's nice to have hubby who loves you.

Oh I will. Lots of pics. We will soon have a garden shed too. These two structures will help tremendously with the organization of garden *stuff* scattered throughout my house, basement, and yard. I can't stand disorganization. Makes my eye twitch.

Wow!  That is beautiful Nichole!  Best I'm going to get is that el cheapo from Big Lots and a glass door that will be kicked to the curb from our remodel and the old kitchen sink and lower cabinets for a potting shelf!!  Still trying to decide where all that will go.  Recyling what we are tossing for sure!  A complete kitchen remodel is giving us lots of cabinets to use for a few projects.

Always a treat to see your garden and will be fun to see how this greenhouse works out for you!

Congratulations!

Suzi

Nice.  Been considering one myself.  May I ask what that set you back all things considered?

Thanks all. I am hoping to use the greenhouse as a jumpstart to my season with my fruit bearing trees.  From what I've been reading, the fruit doesn't taste as good when it's ripened in a greenhouse so my hope is to give them a head start then put them outside once it is warm. It'll make a convenient location for overwintering.

I won't get it till the end of March which is a bummer cause I'd like to start now but our warm days don't really hit till May so it's still better than mother nature.
