So! Been dying to eat a good fig for A LONG while now. Finally, I found some. Yup! Stopped at a tiny, local mom & pop market and way back in the back (way back) corner I hit the jack pot!! Wooohoo!

I bought about 7 baskets...didn't want to be gready so i left 3. :-D

Ate about ten figs outside the store after a quick wash with my water bottle water. Then, I got home and ate more. Finally, I froze a good amount for winter :-)

Oh, yes! They were very good! Very honey sweet. Really, I am surprised at how good they are. Now, any time I get a craving for a fig I just get one from my freezer :-)!

Perfectly normal behavior at my house. It seems to me that I saw sacks of frozen figs at Trader Joes.

When you freeze the figs do you just throw them in the fridge?

Hmmm, i didnt dry them! Oh, oh! First time freexing figs so dont have all the details. Is drying important? Why?
