Graduating Class 2013... (And fig rust?)

Well, Here's my graduating class of fig cuttings for 2013.  Pretty good for my first time.  There's a couple of limpers, but I think they will recover.

2 Hollier
2 Marylane Seedless
2 Gino's Black
9 Peter's Honey
1 LSU Tiger
1 LSU Purple
4 Sal's HD (Unknown from Sal)
6 Ronde de Bordeaux
2 Ischia (from Home Depot)
2 White Texas Everbearing

One image below shows what I think may be Fig Rust?  It's the only one (one of the unknowns from Sal).  All the others of the same type are fine.

Very nice.  I had a Hardy Chicago figlet go through 3 or 4 days of rain here in Houston a couple of months ago.  It looked terrible, worse than yours.  Looked the same as your "rusty" leave except 75% of the leaves looked that way.  I was sure I was going to lose it.  Now it is one of my best growers.  I'm sure your "rusty" figlet will do just fine given some time.

Congratulations!  They look like a fine bunch of figs.

Nice collection James...good luck...have a great season.

Yeah, one morning after a lot of rain and cold, I went out to find that nearly every one of these had serious wilt issues... Like touching the ground wilt. And I was going out of town for 3 days. Thought they would all be dead when I got back. Worried about them all weekend. Came back to find they were having a party. Caught 'em red handed. Or at least rust leaved.

The class of 2013 looks really good.

Good looken bunch of figs you have there.

It looks like it might be magnesium deficiency on the one with interveinal chlorosis. If it spreads up the plant any further try a little epsom salt, it might get resolved on its own too, the new growth looks good.

I'll watch for that, but I don't see why it would just be that one.  They all have dirt from the same bag.  Miracle Grow Potting Mix with additional Perlite.

It might be that magnesium is just a little low in your mix but that cutting had trouble getting enough because it has fewer roots or got too wet or dry.

Its not spider mites right?

Hmm.. maybe it was fewer roots..  None of the others have it, so I don't think it's a parasite.  That one has been with the others for at least a month or more.  I do remember one had fewer roots, but I potted it anyway.  And one had severely damaged bark but it rooted... and leaved out good.  I don't know if those two are one in the same, or if either is this one..  I'll look tomorrow to see if it's the one with the damaged bark.
