Graft or root?

I have a one node cutting of a black malderia so yea one time deal. I was wondering if I should root it because it already has some signs of nodes or should I awaken a Syrian long fig plant and graft it on then nurture it through winter?

If you goid at grafting graft. Better chance of rooting it in some coir that is only lightly moist

I've neglected this cutting pretty bad it's been making some smells when I found it but the amazing thing is there's little white bumps growing on it

Dont use alot of moisture. It will surly rot

Clean the cutting with a bleach and soap solution, seal the ends with wax, put it in a Tupperware/storage container with cocogro that is not overly damp, place it in a warmish place (like on top of the fridge) and leave it alone. Looks to be green cutting so I would not be surprised at all if it roots in about a month or so.  The BM cutting you sent me has rooted and is growing pretty well considering the timeline.  Depending on the strain the BM can be a slow grower and poor rooter, but if it is from the same source as the one you sent me then it looks to be a more vigorous strain.  BTW what source was that cutting from?

If you think the cutting has been dried out, then you can do the "hot water rescue" on it.  However, when the cutting is placed in a proper environment and it is producing those "white bumps" on the outside it will begin to absorb some moisture on its own. It is hard to tell from the pic, but it doesn't really look dehydrated.
