Grafts -One Year Later

Last year I did some pear grafts that were surprisingly successful. I did half the tree leaving 2 "nursing branches".

4-6 weeks ago I did the rest, and again they took like magic.

Did you do bark grafts, cleft grafts, or both?

They were all bark grafts like in the picture except it was with Asian pears.

 

Have you had trouble grafting figs?  I've had very good success using cleft grafts.

I've had varying success with grafting figs. I haven't done too many cleft grafts but plan on trying some this weekend.

Great job Frank. Hope they do good for you. I love Asian Pears all most a much as figs.
