Grasa...and members check this out

Okay... The very first time I saw you experimenting on grafting roots I thought " no way this will work". But decided to try it on my ONE NODE of my CdD Blanc.

It works.

**+ I will Vouche for Grasa- "cool beans"***

what I used:
Lsu purple roots
scion: Col de Dame Blanc

Results:
New roots developing, calluses everywhere and new shoot developing

Enjoy

Jennifer

ah! Lucky you! very nice. wait a bit more before planting. or the moist in soil tends to separate them again..

Ahaa!
Jenny just graduated to a more complex fig rooting method.
My congrats.

Wow!  I know you're excited!  Great job!  I know you're shocked!   And what are you doing up so early?

I know what you mean, lol (my observation is in the slice?)
I took my ** GRAFTING knife **
layed the roots flat on a surface
DRAGGED THE ROOT underneath the GRAFTING KNIVE @ slant, repeated on the other side.
Looks like upside down V

ADDITIONAL tips that may have been useful

-I took a TOOTHPICK and did the same (drag and pull underneath my Grafting knive), only one side.
-This tool (toothpick) was used to WEDGE the cambium and the outer layer BETWEEN
-I shoved a toothpick in, took my roots and shoved in carefully (dude it was intricate, it was like surgery)
-This method was better for me personally, so I adjusted Grasa's technique :-)
-I had handy clamps (@lowes) that looked like little arms that included a magnifying glass! Lol

I have several CdD Gris that I chip bud a "shoot" to a LSU Gold.... And all 4 nodes are growing. Really like the results.

Jenny
(I drank coffee again)

Congratulations!  Very happy this rooting method is working for you!

Good job Jenny, I honestly haven't attempted it myself. You're a very ambitious fig grower.

I hope they do well for you!
