I should be receiving some panache cuttings from California in the mail soon, and I think the awesome person sending them said they're green cuttings. Is there a different approach to rooting green cuttings than I would use rooting hardwood? Does green root faster? Thanks ahead of time for any insight, Luke.
They work the same, just more sensitive to lack of humidity. They are probably not really green - just weren't fully dormant. My tree still has some leaves on it, too.
Hey Luke I just recently rooted an unknown tree near me very green cutting when takin about a month ago I rooted in damp moss for about 2 weeks and its now potted up in cup with 70 perlite 30 pot soil mix it took off while rooting and now doing the same in cup.
Luke,I started my first batch of cuttings about a month ago from generous members here. All cuttings........ green, hardened, small diameter, large diameter...... all are rooting fairly well for me, doesn't seem to matter.
Thanks a bunch.
