Green figs with red centers- the best!

Since Forrest noted that the pic was found on a Google search it could have been doctored on PhotoShop or the like.  Never the less, if a fig exists with a dark red interior like that, I'm with DaydreamFigs, and I'd add it to my wishlist.

Well, I was surfing other sites looking for Battaglia Green and found this for Ventura on the Just Fruits and Exotics website.  Could be a longshot.  Photo of cut fig can be found on the JF&E site.  Must say it looks dark red.

VENTURA More cold hardy than most, Ventura is a large, flat, green fig. The flesh is deep ruby-red with a natural strawberry jam flavor. Trees are small and compact. Zones 7-10. Ripens early to mid-August.

Green Genoa! It's a late fig but if you can get it ripen it's awesome.

Those pixies from the first poster are not altered by any Photoshop.
In my opinion, they represent Vasilika Sika ,ripe fruits ,properly ripe in a climate like Greece.
I had a handful of fruits from my Vasilika Sika, and were the same color inside, but not as yellowish outside ,remaining more greenish because the cold Summer we had in 2013.

My favourit colour green.red combo "Green figs with red centers- the best! " . It is mini-watermelon.
I have not taken this picture but it is from a European website (I forgot which one). I hope one plant I am growing comes closer it in a year or two.

By the way, there are 2 strains of Atreano. One from Rolling River and the other one Jon labelled as "OR"(Original). It seems the "OR" is better in taste(subjective).

I purchased my Atreano from the old Belleclare Nursery on Long Island sometime around 2002ish. I always thought that was the original source for Atreano. At least in the northeast.

CdDB, Paradiso Gene, Calvert, Adratic JH.. all good. but CdDB definitely stands out.

I'm wondering if the birds stay away from the greenies.  They sure attack the dark ones!!  I'm hoping they don't get that the fig is ripe...

Suzi, I had no bird damage on my purple, but I have chickens and a large dog in my yard. whereas, I am monitoring this house with its 6 giant fig trees, owner said to come back in July or August to check the figs.. well, I did check, they look like those christmas ornaments, all hanging in there in which many had their half sides eaten... all were of green kinds.

birds here figured out that green ones are as good as dark ones.

Squirrel traps and bird netting...
That's my plan.
