Green Ischia - Sep 19 2013

I picked my first green ischia today and didn't expect much with it being such a young tree and the cold rainy weather lately. However, it was delicious! It was incredibly jammy, sweet, and a rich rasberry flavor. It outshined even my negronne so far this year. There are still two left on the tree, hopefully they ripen before frost!

Don't ya just love it when you get really good figs, esp. on such a young tree?  Thanks for sharing.  =)

I'm Jealous, willing to trade some awesome Brown Turkey Cuttings for them...LOL   Thanks for Posting those awesome Pictures.

Lovely.. thanks for the pics..  Looking forward to mine fruiting next year.  It gave me nothing this year..  probably because the cuttings were only about 1/8" thick..

very tasty looking fig. cant wait till next year.  thanks for taking the time to post.

Nick,

Mine, too. Right out of the box, it was the best fig I have tasted to date (which isn't saying a whole lot, but it was rich, meaty and sweet). Mine is  only two years post-cutting and in a five-gallon bucket. I am constantly eying it now for more ripe figs.
