I've been looking for a nice green fig and just bought a "green Ischia, strawberry." Can anyone tell me what you think of this variety, and, how hardy it is, I am in zone 7. Thanks everyone in advance for your insights

Hello Gene, Just got one of these this year and was happy with the fruit....my tree looks to be 3 years old and hopefully I will take it out of its pot and place in soil...they say that the Figs get better when the tree matures.....So good stuff, in the near future.

I have Verte from edible landscaping. 4 year old tree in ground produced excellent fruit for me last September. Sweet figgy with a little strawberry. Had no winter kill last year but it was a mild winter. So far has no visible damage this year with temps down to 15.
