Green Italian fig

Yesterday while visiting a friend, an old Pennsylvanian Dutch farmer. He invited me to pick some figs. I was surprised that some figs were ripe.
Here's a fig he calls Green Italian, given to him by an Italian man.

It had a surprisingly sweet unique flavor, despite the  seemingly  drier pulp.

Bass

Great looking fig Bass.

Bass, any more information on this fig?
thanks,

looks like lattura but it does look yummy.

It resembles an Italian variety named Abate after further review. I should've took some cuttings when I had a chance, I went to visit the tree and was cut down and pulled out...
I used to pick a bag full of figs for jam from that tree.

I think I have 2 trees from it called Green Italian. I'll know for sure this summer. I'll post pic this summer. If its this same, let me know and I'll send you a cutting.

It is from an unknown fig that came originally from Italy and grown in New Jersey. The farmer named it green Italian. I wonder where yours is from.

All i will say is the farmer i got mine from called it Green Italian. Should have pics this summer.

This is good variety for Martin it is not white fig.

Ahhhhh ha....

Well you better find it because I love jam
