Greenhouse and fig color question

I've noticed that my dark figs that are in the greenhouse don't get nearly the color that they should.
I've been experimenting with a few of my dark figs. I have a few of the same varieties inside and out.
I have Valle Negra, VdB, and Chiappetta and have noticed they get more brownish/purple inside the greenhouse. Anybody else seeing this?

Skin color is definitely affected by how much sunlight they receive.

No they don't get as dark except for Black Ischia & Aubique Petite -- that's my current observation. Not
sure whether there is any impact on taste. So far I am very please with the green house as it keeps the cooler days a few notch warmer and the figs like it by not aborting and I am ahead on my main crop versus the trees kept outside the green house.

Got myself a little greenhouse this spring, too.
As long it is only the colour of the fruit, that should be no problem.
But i am always a little afraid about the lack of taste...
So that's why i shuffle them before hot days all outside, so they get proper sunlight plus the heat.
I also remove sometimes some shading leaves, so the fruit is reached by the sun.

Or am i am making too much of a science out of it?!?

Can't say about colour yet but I have noticed the greenhouse figs seem to lose their brebas?

I have 3 U black figs;
1 12 yrs old in green house with container buried in ground (definitely ahead in growth but has dropped all its brebas),
1 10 yrs old, in 25 gal container outside of greenhouse a little behind the greenhouse one in growth but it still has most of its brebas,
15 yr old in-ground is way behind but it still has all its brebas and it is now growing very well now and will catch up in growth soon but will likely ripen the figs later.

I am just south of lake Ontario and it has been very cool with a mainly north (east ) wind most of this spring.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm just worried about the taste compared to the outside figs.
So far they've all tasted up to par. I just wish they'd get that nice black/purple color.

My greenhouse figs are ripening early, as I would have thought. Already harvesting RDB and Lyndhurst White main crop. Had a few RDB split, opened up the greenhouse to reduce humidity. But they had good color.

Bill, You are way ahead of me. My main crop got a ways to go.

Art, I have Lyndhurst White that are ginormous. I will post a photo when ripe, but I hear you have to be patient and let this one get very ripe.

I tasted Lyndhurst White last year. I remember it tasting differently than all my other white figs. I seem to remember it having a spicy taste to it.
