I just recently got these, I putt them in a freezer bag and threw them in the fridge, after a few hours I thought to myself, um those are mostly green ugh oh. Now my question is can I store these for a few months or should they be started ASAP?

thank you everyone!

I have only 2 years experience rooting cuttings but I believe that green cuttings are more likely to mold when stored for very long.  I know I had a couple like that last year that I tried to store for 2 months until I had time to root them, and as soon as I put them into perlite with a minimum of moisture they rotted (while hard wood cuttings did just fine in the same media)

You can store them for up to a year, but make sure don't add anything moist to them. remove any left over stems. place in a tight zip lock and keep it cold in upper 30's.

I would root the two on the left as they are very tender but one on right can be stored

Ed,
It sounds like a "hard wood" cutting is a better choice for storing.  Is that what you are saying?  How long will it keep in a cold, stored container?

As Bass said above (he is much more experienced than I), cuttings can be stored a year or more.  I rooted some once that were a year old.  But I have read other's experience that said the same as mine, green cuttings don't store as well.  I do not yet know how to tell if the wood is mature enough to store for long.

Thanks, Ed  Yeah, I don't know enough to know when the wood is mature...I think that's really my question too.

I have to say, the ones on the left look rather shriveled and will probably dry out if they're not already. If the cutting is healthy enough it will store. i once had some cuttings I forgot about 3 years in the corner of my fridge. I was able to get them to root successfully.

Thanks Bass, maybe I'll root the two and store the third. Just wasn't ready for them yet, when I received them they were wrapped in wet newspaper, so i don't know if they're reacting to being shipped. wishing they were hard wood at this point.
