Grise de Saint Jean (P) 2014

First year for fruiting. Not a productive variety but decent size figs. Flavor nice, sweet. Another season to decide. Tree in ground, FMV sensitive. Origen France.

Could I say Nice.

Looks pretty darn nice to me. Nice and solid. I have a few St Jeans and hopefully they will be productive as they get older.

Nice figs Leon!
GdSJ has the best quality brevas I have tasted, and in quantity.
You are right, it is not a very productive variety for main crop, but it improves year by year. GdSJ is a variety to be patient with it, but it is a must have variety in my opinion.

Totally jealous, I couldn't get any of mine past the potting up stage... those look fantastic!!

The photos don't really capture the beauty of this fig. It has a velvety light gray skin. Axier is correct about the taste. I have had a few of the brebas and the flavor was really good. The main crop flavor is not as strong but still sweet.
Axier, I am anxious to see how it improves over time. Thank you so much for your opinion my friend.

can't wait to try this one, if anyone has cuttings and wants to trade this fall please let me know.
