I have my Conadria fig coming out of dormancy this winter, last week it barley had some green buds, this week it's like a canopy

This is one of my favorite times of the year when it comes to growing figs, because watching them come back to life is so beautiful. It never ceases to amaze me how very fast they grow!

Its like your not sure they are really alive then Bam 5hey grow some leaves. I have alot of in ground fig trees that were 0lanted kind of late ladt year so this year i will get some real fruit. Not enough time last year for them to ripen properly

Dont forget to mulch even pots. Noticed much difference than without.

Would you tell me what kind of mulch you put down? I can get fir mulch, cedar mulch here.

Whatever organic decomposed or not. With pines put them dry cause tyey disturb tge ph.
Vegetable peels orange peels etc...
Actually using the potted fig as part time compost bins :)

Without a photo it did not happen ... ! and they still are dormant !
This whole week, we've been hovering from -2°C some nights to +7°c or less in the afternoon.
