Here are examples of some variations that I see in young Black Madeira fig trees from different sources and even between trees started from cuttings from the same mother tree.

Thank You for posting. I Just posted photos of my Black Madeira received directly from UCD. You can see that the leaves look much healthier than when first received. It's totally new growth from ground level after several seasons.
