In homage to Dennis' guess the variety on the bountiful plate, I offer a more humble and smaller 3 easy varieties. If they haven't been identified, I'll post the answer tonight. Thanks to Dennis for this fun and informative idea.

Okay.  I'll embarrass myself again ;-)

Violette de Bordeaux, Chicago Hardy, Ischia Green.

the green looks a bit like kadota to me

Cheryl, I only wish your guesses are accurate. You should see me do a jig if you want to see true embarrassment. : )

Devlsgro, it looks very similar to me too but it's not.

A clue is the purple has purple in its name and bred to do well in the south. The brown is the king in the south and Thomas Jefferson once owned the green/ yellow variety. Try as often as you like.

Is one of them Celeste and another Marseilles?

LSU Purple, White Marseilles, Celeste

Vispot and Brian got it. Those three are the only ones ripening so far.

haha after your hints I would have guessed as brian did!  Thanks for playing :)

True. Lol. Meant to be fun and easy.

They look great!
