Gypsy Fig

Superior Taste - Keeper

Great looking fig Paully. Gypsy and Zingarella being the same fig?

Paul,

Looking good. Was think about doing the "Martins to the Burner" thing with mine. But now I will hold on to it. So hopefully next season I will get fruit from it.

Pattee,
Yes. Mine is labeled Zingarella.

Thanks Rafed , just making sure. Mine is labelled Zingarella also.

Very nice looking fruit, Paul. Very tempted to find and grow this variety after seeing your photos and your report.

Thank you,
Navid.

Gypsy & Zingarella is the same fig.

My tree is at least 4 yrs old. Die backs and slower growth, brebas dropping & late ripener for main crop almost made me junk this variant. Now it will have a special place in the green house. An excellent fig.

@ nkesh -- although taste is subjective, I find Gypsy taste better than RdB, Aldo, Negra d'Adge, Latorolla, GM#1, all the Paradiso's I tasted in my collection etc.

@ Rafed  -- look after it well. You will be surprise how well this taste, better than many
other favourites

Hello Paul,
what a beautifull looking fig..............amazing...........Would this grow in the UK.....hint  hint...

Looks nice, also, looks like open eye but solid inside. Do you ever get a main crop? Very impressive on taste. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful looking ...I can almost taste it

.........BUMP.......

Nice, Paul, thanks for bringing this back up.

Looks great Paul.... will you have any main crop ripening??
