  I found this variétie near Paris in the city of "Eaubonne" closed to the city of Argenteuil Do you think it might be the same than the Hâtive d'argenteuil of Condit?

I would think you could have picked any of those figs off of the same tree, as there is often that much variation in fruit on a tree.

Here is example of UcDavis Argentile i had in large container, many on plant were similar some a little darker.

'Hâtive d'Argenteuil' is an asparagus variety which is cultivated in the Argenteuil area.
There are two fig varieties that used to be cultivated in the same area,
one is called 'Blanche d'Argenteuil' (White of Argenteuil)/'Blanche',)
the other one has got several names: 'Rouge/Violette d'Argenteuil' (Red of A.) / 'Dauphine' / 'Grise de Tarascon'.
Maybe Rouge d'Argenteuil is your fig. Compare it to the description of 'Dauphine' at
http://www.fig-baud.com.

A variety received from southern France in 1928, under P.I. No. 69,016. Not identified with any other variety in the collection at Riverside.
Breba crop none. Second-crop figs small, oblique-spherical, with short, thick neck; color violet; bloom commonly absent from circular zone at apex, as illustrated for Figue Fleur in plate 12; pulp strawberry; quality good. Fruits commonly dry without spoilage. (Plate 10.)

is anyone have pictures of " P.I. No. 69,016" ?  .....   To compare...  
And did someone know another description of Hâtive d'Argenteuil?

Aaron, just look at all the Celeste pix at Figs 4 Fun, to see how varied they can be, and look at pix from the south, and then find the post on Celeste from Belleclare. Yeah they can vary that much.

I was hoping the stalks of each variety would be very Pre-Programmed size. just like the Eye, The Skin Texture , Pulp color, Flesh color, etc...

This past spring I picked up a small tree from a local nursery in San Antonio. The tree was labeled Native de Argentina which in my opinion should be Hâtive d'Argenteuil. It is a very tasty black fig that could easily match or beat the flavor of a Violette de Bordeaux or any other black fig in that family. It has a more complex flavor than a Celeste, which I classify as just sweet. At this time, I'm not sure if this fig is a Sultane in disguise.

    

What's an asparagus variety?

This is my Hative d'Argenteuil from a cutting from Harvey. It's one of my slower growers. I up potted it last week and the new growth is protesting with a virus break out. A number of my other fig trees do this when I up pot them, then recover. One leaf looks like Condit's picture.

             

Anyone can help me to get cutting N d'agrenteuil ?
