Hadoulis F kos

A fig I got from a member here from Kos island in Greece. I doubt these will ripen this year, but looks interesting. Anyone have any guesses as to what it might be?

Looks very nice. Do you know if it's a white fig? The elongated figs look like vasilika sika or Stella but not the leaf pattern! Good luck and thanks for sharing!

Thanks Chris, yes it is supposed to be a white fig. Time will tell :)

just by looking at fig shape I would say Dalmatie, stella, Vasilika Sika, they have finger like leaves as well.

I think you're referring to Kios island, not Kos. sometimes spelled Chios. I had a white fig from Chios that was identical to it, it was identical to White Greek.

Thanks Bass,
I was told it was from Kos, and there is a Kos island in the Aegean. The member I got it from shows up from time to time, perhaps they will be able to confirm the origin.
Your tip about White Greek is what I suspect will be the closest. Even if it is from a different island :)

There seem to be Kos and Kios islands. I'm noticing this to be a common favorite in Greece. Vasilika sika, Greek white, chios white, EFtakia, Makedonia White, Stella, and now Hadoulis kos. :-)

as far as the islands go, yes there is an island named (chios or in greek χιος ) and an island named kos
hadoulis is a last name so its a fig that they dont know the name... so to id it they used the lastname of the owner and the island

For sure, it's not a "Stella" leaves are too fat!
