On my way home from work I drove through the meanest hail storm I have ever seen hail as big as golf balls that left dents on my truck, all I could think my figs will be all destroyed but luckuly no maybe 20 tops out of the 300+ I have on 5 of my oldest trees.
 Can`t say the same for my apples all down or smashed in the tree....at least I cant get mad at the squirls for taking them.

On the better side as I was inspecting the damage I found 5 or 6 figs that have sweld up and r turning lighter so I might be eating some main crop by the weekend.

Probably wasn't the same storm that got me down here, but one a bit like it hit here today.  Hail was smaller, more like 1/2" or 3/4"... only one of my trees got damaged.  But some stippling on the car roofs.  
  
Sorry to hear you got such a strong storm... but glad the damage wasn't so bad.

Wow!  That is something this California native has NEVER seen!  Seen snow, rain, and sand storms pit my car, but golf ball size hail?

I know from my wine forum, that the hail does severe damage to the vines.  Sorry about your apples, figs and vehicles!!
