Thats great to hear Gorgi the back part of the garage has Blocks and is what seperates the backyard from the garage its about an 8ft + wall on that one backside of the garage behind that wall is Soil from the backyard so the garage is about 8 ft lower than the ground in the backyard and the neighbours garages are also fairly close to my Fathers on the sides. I just checked the temps this morning was 5 Celcius outside about 40 and the temp inside the garage is 15 degrees celcius around 60 farenheit.

Your garage sounds like a great place for storing figs, especially the backside that had eight feet of earth against it. That will be well below the frost line and you should get a fair bit of geothermal heat from there. Probably a little less in toronto, but here in kitchener the ground is frozen to about three feet deep in winter.
