Wishing you and your families all the best in the New Year!!

I'm blessed, we only had rain here today!!!  Looks like the F3 tornado did damage to part of our county about 20 miles from me.

Happy New Years from Japan

Happy New Year each & every one of you and many blessings in 2011! I am thankful for the 3-4" rain we got Wednesday. We were way behind.

Happy New Year to all.
We are going to have a New Year gift as +6C overnight and +7C on the New Year day and this after weeks of deep freeze sometimes getting down to -17C. What a welcome change even if short lasting. I hope it does not last long because it can kill other fruit trees by waking them up.

Happy New Year, Martin and all. After a good (for us) snow on Christmas Day, we're back up to 60+ during the day. Figs are out of the garage for awhile.

Happy 1/1/11; and the rest of the new 2011 year.

May this year be a good one for everybody, including fig success.

Happy New Years from North Texas! I hope your year is filled with fig fun!!

Happy New Year!

It's funny how some figs go dormant at the first hint of cold...others ignore winter temps in the 30's, longer nights, and hang on to their leaves. Half my figs are leafless the other half don't realize it's winter.

Sue, mine are doing the same thing.  Someone told me that young figs might not go dormant.  Is it only your young ones that are keeping their leaves?

Happy New Year All!

Happy New Years Sue from Linda and I. Those silly little youngsters are just like teenagers, they think they know it all and just grow like crazy. I have a few that I had to bring inside to protect them from the 27 degree weather we had last week. I have a couple that are still growing figs. One is a Flanders and another is a strawberry fig. In fact the weather is nice here today so I'll put them back into the sunshine. Another month and buds should be swelling here. Spring comes early and sometimes summer knocks it out of the way and we skip Spring.

I want to also take the time to wish everyone a very Happy and Prosperous New Year.
