Yes, yet another year goes quickly by ... This year, we will be again having another (bigger) family get-together; main dish will be cooked ham (I dislike turkey). We will also be bracing from the big weather on-coming storm. Thank you God for all for all Your blessings.

Just got back with all my food and have a real dilemma; no room for food in the refrigerator. My whole bottom shelf is filled with fig cuttings. Yikes:)

Anyone have a brown turkey variant that will ripen for Thanksgiving to about 20 lbs and roast up nicely?

Funny! At one time when I was still a fig newbie; I used to think that the "Turkey" in BT stood for the "bird". Actually, it stands for the "country"...

Time to either root the cuttings early or eat early! Or store a few things in the garage till tomorrow - mine is at 37 degrees, would work for food or cuttings temporarily.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I've spent the last 6 months studying for the CPA exam (finally through!), and learning about/growing figs has been a much-needed earthy diversion during study breaks. Many thanks to Jon, the Forum, and each of you for helping me stay sane...and for this gift that keeps on giving. Wishing all of you happiness and good health, Rick

Happy turkey day.
Just a thought on how ironic it is though. today most americans are sitting down to a feast thankfull for all they have. This day is followed by black Friday where the same people trample others and fight to get what they don't have. ;-)
Be safe
