Harbor Freight Greenhouses on sale

Reading the comments the greenhouse doesn't stand up to much wind and is flimsy. It wouldn't make it where I live. I get Santa Anna winds that can be fierce with gusts up to 60MPH. Too bad I could use it to keep the critters from getting my fruit.

Yep!  We do get winds!  Fierce winds!  But so far, no Tornadoes.....

Suzi,

I've been in 2 twisters here in Ramona in the last 10 years. Granted they were small compared to the midwest but they lifted four 100 lb stands holding up my awning and planted one right thru my roof, the other three were found on the opposite side of the house. Never did find the actual awning...just the 4 legs.

Also saw one forming in RB a few yeas ago but it never touched down...scary all the same.

Sue

Sue, when we lived in Orange County, we were at a restaurant, and there was this roar, and all the doors blew out, and customers tried to hold them, but could not.  Driving home, trees were down all over the place.  Found out next day, Irvine, CA had a tornado!  It can happen, I guess.  So far no hurricanes!!

So the deal is, no flimsy greenhouses for us!! :-)

WARNING!  WARNING!  WARNING!  If you live in an area that gets sustained gusts over 30 mph this is not the greenhouse for you . My stepson bought one of the 10x12 Poly Greenhouses for me 3 years ago  at H.F. for their Black Friday sale.We had standing water in our pasture until mid march. We put it up the first part of April, and the 2nd storm to roll through had gusts of 40 mph . The instructions say it's good up to 35 mph. I was chasing panels for a week.
