Montreal,
Ciao,
I am glad you mentioned this it is not as easy as everyone think it is or could be. I send dozens and dozens of figs out already this year and now with the move, it is really really hard work, and some out there have enough nerve to say I am too pricey sometimes. What craziness as all of us know the amount of hard work put into this. Not just with us who have this as a business, but everyone knows how it is growing things from sticks and keeping them alive and healthy then packaging and sending.Sometimes different varieties won't root for months, you know the care and tenderness having to keep them in certain conditions and keeping them healthy. I can only speak for myself, but with son, cleaning the house and cooking, husband, 3 jack russell terrier dogs and the figs on top, its alot, alot of work. I enjoy it though and know it will expand and I look forward to every bit of it in future. Next time someone wants to complain about a price, they should realize what goes into this whole situation. I would and have paid plenty for figs and know the hard work involved, hence why I don't complain about these things. Especially sending international and dealing with certificates and licenses ect ect, did all that done. Just had the agriculture department here going through each of my fig trees with a fine tooth comb making sure I pass to take them just into Florida. I passed with flying colors he said and issued me three certificates I need to show to border agriculture people when enter florida. Wow, I am happy it worked out well, but he was outside for at least an hour with a little magnifying glass going through all my trees, looking for any bug or disease. He found nothing.
Ciao ciao
