Hardy Chicago

In ground/ SE Michigan. Tasted sweet. I'm sorry I don't have much to compare it to.  I'd love to be able to say 7 out of 10 and so on, but I don't have the experience yet. Thanks for looking.

Holy smokes! I had resolved to garage mine over the winter, but you tempt me, Dan. What do you do to winterize yours?

Wow!  I have a few cuttings and they look good, some with roots and leaves.  Got them on Ebay from Marius.  NOW I can't wait!  Nice pictures and post!

Nice how you've integrated it into your landscaping. Very pretty.

Very nice.  If you leave it on the tree a day or two more it will be even better.

Thanks everyone.   I have it in my vegetable garden surrounded by my herbs like Oregano, Chives, Leeks, Parsley, & Thai Basil.

Last winter I covered it with a square 30 gallon Trash can.  There was a 6" gap between the bottom lip of the trash can and the ground because the branches were too tall for me to allow the can to go all the way down.  I was sloppy with it and should have done a better job.  Even so it's doing OK.  It's my favorite variety so far.

You're right, I should have left it on for a few days.  We got 2" of rain this morning and I got a little scared.  When I got home from work there were a few ants hovering around the eye and I thought "What the heck, I'm eatin it!"
