Hardy Chicago

I have a 3 yr old dormant container grown Hardy Chicago that I want to permanently plant in ground against a south wall. Is it too early to set outside in 6b?

Do it now

I'd probably give it a month or so. I'd wait until the last frost is over.
Better safe than sorry.

You should work on the roots before planting to get them straightened out so if you wait you should repot before it wakes up.
