Here in AZ it is one of the last trees to start forming figs.  Anyone else notice this about HC?

 I live in Northern New Jersey and this is my first season growing Hardy Chicago and the figs here are much further along than the figs you show in your pictures. I'm surprised because I would have thought the oppsosite.

Here its not late , mine are further along .
In normal season i get figs from it mid to late August.
This season the elder went inground.

I guess I need to give my little tree time to mature. Thanks for the feedback guys. When I lived in Massachusetts I used to pinch all my trees. Here in AZ I don't. Wasn't sure if that had something to do with it.

Dieseler- how did your HC do in ground?  How old was it?
