Hardy Chicago roots (pic)

A while back I did the pot in pot thing because my plants were at a standstill because of our heat. Well this morning I decided to look at a small Sal's Corleone plant, I pulled it out of the larger 3 gal. pot and found some roots growing in the pine bark nuggets in the bigger pot.'
And I thought I would look at the Hardy Chicago (thanks Martin)
here is what I found, unbelievable! I guess I better re pot that one what do ya think?

I think by re potting, those roots will stay a little cooler since they won't be touching the sides of the pot as of yet. Next year they will be more mature and might handle the heat better. I also believe you will get much faster growth by re potting since you still have plenty of warm and sunny weather ahead. That plant sure looks healthy.

Good job
Sal

Thanks Sal,

I have already re potted the Sal's C and Hardy Chicago

I had to really pull on the Sals to get it out of the smaller pot, lost a lot of roots on both, I put them on the back porch out of sun light, hope they make it!

Cecil I noticed this earlier this year with my new cuttings in 1 gal pots. Not long after I re potted them within 10-14 days they looked much healthier and really started to put on growth. I also lost some roots but the plants didn't show any type of stress.

Thanks again,

That is encouraging !
