I dont know how you take the heat there in Texas it was about 85 today which is nothing compared to what you folks endured last season , i was cutting backyard grass and transplanted a fig plant and set a airlayer and i was kinda spent and its not summer yet with the high humidity.
But figs like it as there drinking more water now.
