Has anyone ever used GoGnats?

I am noticing some Gnats on my cuttings so I went down to the local Hydroponic store and he recommended  GoGnats it has cedar oil, guar gum, sodium lauryl sulfate, and glycerine , he claims it won't hurt the cuttings so I mixed a little bit half strength and tried it on one of my cuttings , I spoke with someone at the company and they said give it 24 hours and see how that plant does but it shouldn't hurt the plant

just curious if anyone here used it?

I'll give a report tomorrow

At first, I was going to reply, "No, but I was kicked in them once." :)

Seriously though, yes, this product absolutely works like a charm. I switched to it from Gnatrol recently. Works for spider mites as well.  Spray it on foliage or soak the soil. I'll pretreat my cuttings with it this winter.

GoGnats is expensive though, so I may experiment with cedar essential oil (the main component) and either dish soap in water or a bit of milk in water, as a means to help it adhere. Far cheaper.

Thanks John for the information your right it's not cheap but you use so little the bottle will last forever

Here's a picture of the cutting after 2 days doesn't look like it did anything to the plant and I gave it a pretty heavy drenching 1/2 strength

I think I will try it on a couple more before I do all of them could never be too safe

Got mine today and just in time, had a cutting i didn't know had an infestation....argh!!!!

Gloria they are pesky little devils aren't they

Here's a picture of the tainted tree 3 days later it looks uninfected by the chemical and I don't see any varmints flying around

Don't forget to mix 1/2 strength for cuttings

This doesn't directly answer your question but I have used a pyrethrin spray for the flying buggers and WD Gnatrol for watering.
