has anyone seen blister on the new branches?

to dark to take pictures. of those plants which had worst reaction to the lime i put on them, some of them are getting what looks like blisters on the new branches. they look like they are getting filled with latex. it weirdest thing i have ever seen.

lost 4 plants so far. 1 JoAnn's Purple, 1 UCD Adriatic, 1 UCD 187-25, and one that i don't remember. looks like five others are getting that blisters and not sure if that will cause any specific issue or they will just dry out and be fine later on.

most of them i have duplicates, so right now, it's not a big deal. even if i lose some there are enough to get me by.

good new is Black Madeira i have been saving for F4FF auction has finally broke terminal bud. trees i rooted last yr did show any issue.

Pete,
What the heck is going on down there? Blisters? I'm stumped. I hope you'll post pics tomorrow.

few things happened. i gave fast acting lime to my plants. it was basically really bad idea. as soon as i water to have the lime soak into the soil, the leaf stems were curling, not all of them.. on the fastest growing and very healthy looking ones. it looks like the top of the branches were swelling up also.

two days later, i try to flush the pots. it seems to have stopped the curling on additional stems. however, ones that were curled will not uncurl. it looks so bad, i cut ones that were really curled off at the end of the leaf leaving the stem on the branch. few of the plants were drawing up water and wouldn't heal the area that was cut.

today while inspecting the ones that i cut off the leaves, i noticed that there were what looks like latex residue. but up on closer inspection, they were not residue. it looks like there is "blister" and it's filling up with latex. i noticed this on few of the very fastest growing plants.

it's really strange.
